Damcyan's status has been stable all these years since I took up the post of Secretary-in-training. However, recently, the Chancellor has become worried about how often the ledgers have fallen into the red. It is a matter my lord King Edward has entrusted to me, as we are offering aid to rebuild Fabul, Mist, and now Eblan. I have nothing against the other kingdoms - and, certainly, if my lord wishes to give them aid, I cannot argue - but the matter has become something we can hide no longer. I only fear that the Chancellor will begin looking into the matter himself...
- Now it seems that Damcyan is lacking its ruler. I am told my lord has yet to arrive, or awaken, here at all. I can only wonder what may be keeping him... I do hope he is well... wherever he is.
It is up to me to keep the kingdom running as smoothly as possible. I would never presume so far as to run the kingdom myself; however, if I may act as a guide, then I suppose it is my duty to be sure the kingdom survives until my lord returns.
